Chelsea vs Wolves
Chelsea hosted Wolves on Sunday as they looked to close the gap on the top four.
The Blues started the weekend in 6th place, two points behind 4th place Manchester United.
However, Chelsea did have two games in hand on 3rd place Tottenham and a game in hand on United.
Chelsea suffered a dip in form recently but have bounced back, winning their last three games across all competitions.
As for Wolves, they started the day in 7th place, above Watford on goal difference.
Hazard rescues Chelsea a point
While Chelsea had improved in recent games, they did not look at their best on Sunday.
They had a lot of the ball with Wolves sitting back and looking to break on the counter but Chelsea struggled to break down the newly-promoted side.
Wolves would take the lead in the 56th minute thanks to some great linkup play between Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez.
Jimenez’s goal was also Wolves’ only shot on target vs Chelsea.
Eden Hazard would rescue Chelsea a point late on with a superb strike.
Hazard’s equaliser vs Wolves would be his 50th Chelsea goal at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba are the only two other Chelsea players to achieve such an impressive feat.
50 – Eden Hazard has now scored 50 Premier League goals at Stamford Bridge; only Man Utd (5) have had more players score 50+ home goals in the competition than @ChelseaFC (also Lampard and Drogba). Exclusive. #CHEWOL pic.twitter.com/e1eXTmCGRN
