Belgium were cruising after 17 minutes.

The Red Devils took the lead inside sixty seconds through Thorgan Hazard.

Thorgan Hazard then completed a brace as the Belgians looked in total control of the contest.

But Switzerland incredibly went into the break 3-2 up.

A Ricardo Rodriguez penalty put the Swiss on the board, before Haris Seferovic scored twice before the interval.

Eden Hazard: ‘Belgium deserved to lose’

After the match, Chelsea star Eden Hazard was honest and open about Belgium’s collapse against the Swiss.

Speaking the local media, Hazard admitted Belgium deserved to lose because their defending was appalling:

It seemed like we would win easily, but we lost sight of the basics.

We did not defend as a team, we let in five goals and we deserved to lose today.

We can not explain everything in football. Switzerland suddenly had the momentum, we lost the duels, we did not put any pressure anymore.

The whole team had to ask questions.
