Bournemouth head into the tie in desperate need of a victory.

The Cherries have won their last two league outings, but even with their upturn in form, Bournemouth are still just two points above the relegation zone.

Sheffield United, on the other hand, are having a simply sensational season in the English top-flight.

Chris Wilder has somehow managed to guide his newly-promoted side to a staggering 6th place in the PL.

The Blades also boast one of the best defences in the Premier League, having let in just 23 goals in their previous 25 outings.

Howe on King & Stacey

So, with such a tough opponent facing Bournemouth this weekend, they will no doubt be keen to have all of their top players available.

One key player that has been missing for Bournemouth for a while is Joshua King.

The forward hasn’t featured in Bournemouth’s last five league ties due to injury.

But when holding his pre-Sheffield United press conference on Friday, Eddie Howe gave a fairly positive update on King.

The Bournemouth boss confirmed that both King and Jack Stacey have trained this week, and are close to respective returns:

“Joshua and Jack have trained this week and are both getting close. We’ll have to make decision if we involve them on Sunday.”

Howe also provided an update on David Brooks, confirming that he was running on the grass for the first time on Thursday.

“He’s back in England.

“He was running on the grass for the first time yesterday.”
