Eddie Howe provides Bournemouth injury update ahead of Aston Villa

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth’s 2019/20 season didn’t get off to the best of starts.

Eddie Howe’s side hosted Sheffield United on the opening weekend.

Bournemouth fans will have probably been hoping for an easy three points against newly-promoted opposition.

However, Bournemouth were held to a 0-0 draw by Chris Wilder’s side.

Bournemouth will no doubt be keen to improve on that result this weekend when they face another newly-promoted team, Aston Villa.

But Villa will likely also prove tough opposition, as they put in a solid showing last weekend when they traveled to Tottenham.

Bournemouth will also face former Cherry Tyrone Mings on Saturday, something which Eddie Howe has commented on:

Bournemouth injury update

Ahead of his side’s latest outing, Eddie Howe has, on Friday, provided an injury update on his squad.

Howe stated that Harry Wilson will be fit and available for the game, though his side’s other injury concerns are the same as before:

“Harry Wilson is fit and available. We have the same injuries as before.

“Every match is a chance for us to win and for us to have the opportunity to play as well as possible. When we’re clicking we can win any game.”

The players that the Cherries missed through injury last week were David Brooks, Lloyd Kelly, Dan Gosling, Junior Stanislas, Simon Francis and Lewis Cook.
