Ed Woodward talks to Man United’s shareholders

Manchester United’s CEO Ed Woodward spoke to the club’s shareholders in a quarterly conference call on Tuesday afternoon.

In a recent update with shareholders back in March, Woodward revealed that success on the pitch isn’t important for Man United’s revenues on it.

During his time as Man United’s CEO, Woodward has made the club a lot of money.

However the fact remains that Man United have been struggling to win major trophies in that time too.

‘Man United’s 66 & Jose Mourinho’s 25 trophies’

Has Ed Woodward tried to change the narrative of Man United’s success story?

During Tuesday’s call, the CEO made the following claim about ‘Man United’s 66 & Jose Mourinho’s 25 trophies’.

It didn’t take long for Man United fans to have their say on that wording.

Man United’s revenues go up

Will the Glazer family care about such language from Woodward?

Probably not, as the figures revealed by the Man United CEO projects that the club’s owners will again be able to take healthy dividends out the organisation.

Woodward expects Man United’s revenue to rise to a record £615-630m in 2019.
