EA Sports becomes the latest entity to break ties with Russia after removing national team from popular game titles

Global video game publisher EA Sports has become the latest brand name entity to break ties with Russia in the wake of its heinous and unlawful invasion of neighboring Ukraine, with unspeakable atrocities taking place at the hands of the Russian military.

"EA Sports stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and like so many voices around the world of football, calls for peace and an end to the invasion of Ukraine."

"In line with our partners at FIFA and UEFA, EA Sports has initiated processes to remove the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from EA Sports products including: FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile, and FIFA Online. We're also actively evaluating related changes to other areas of our games."

"We will keep our communities up to date on any actions taken, and thank players for their patience as we work through these updates."

In solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against Russia

EA Sports is hardly the only entity - or individuals - taking some semblance of a stand when it comes to Russia's actions in Ukraine.

Though some of these gestures will have no bearing on how Russia intends to act moving forward, every little bit helps. Every little bit of support will continue to show that it is important to stand up and be counted in the face of tyranny, persecution, and violent acts of war and aggression.
