Double Man United injury blow as Lingard & Martial limp off vs PSG

Manchester United vs PSG

Manchester United hosted PSG in Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer’s first Champions League game as United boss.

Under Solskjaer United were unbeaten in 11 games heading into their UCL tie with PSG, winning 10 of those games.

However, Solskjaer has not had too many tough tests as Man United manager yet, but United’s current run of games vs PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool will certainly test him.

PSG headed into this game having lost just once in Ligue 1 this season.

However, they did have to face United without several key players including Neymar and Edison Cavani.

Jesse Lingard & Anthony Martial injury blows

While Man United did have a largely fit squad heading into the PSG game, they suffered two major injury blows at the end of the first half.

The first 45 saw neither side create any huge chances with United the slightly better side.

However, Anthony Martial did have a poor first half, managing just eight touches in the first 30 minutes.

The Frenchman would also go down injured during the first 45 before being subbed off during the break.

Man United also lost Jesse Lingard to injury at the end of the first half with Alexis Sanchez replacing him.

United’s next game sees them take on Chelsea in the FA Cup 5th round this weekend and having both Martial and Lingard out would be a huge blow.
