Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace have been handed a potentially huge boost ahead of their crunch relegation match with Brighton this weekend.
The Eagles are in desperate need of all three points when they face the Premier League newcomers on Saturday due to how close it is at the bottom.
Crystal Palace currently sit in 17th place and are just three points ahead of Southampton, who also have a game in hand on Hodgson’s side.
Their goal difference is also identical on -19 so it’s safe to say that the Londoners are in desperate need of all three points.
Though, there has been some very positive news this morning in the form of two players that had been out injured.
The Eagles have been without their only two strikers for a little while now with both Christian Benteke and Alexander Sørloth out injured.
That has left them severely understaffed in the attacking positions, with Wilfred Zaha having to carry the side on his shoulders again.
Though, he might not have to do that for much longer with the club confirming that there is a chance both strikers will be fit for the clash with Brighton.
Palace confirmed the news on their social media channels, explaining that they’ll know tomorrow whether the two can feature.
They also end by explaining that they ‘hope they’ll be available.’
Safe to say, that would be the huge boost that Palace need to steer them away from the relegation zone.
RH: Alexander trained for the first time today and Christian joined in the first part before being monitored by the sport scientists. We’ll know tomorrow, but we hope they’ll be available.#CPFC #CRYBHA pic.twitter.com/VNwD0P7ir6
