Ajax & Donny van de Beek
Donny van de Beek is under contract at Ajax until 2022.
The 22-year-old played a central role for Ajax in 2018-19. Van de Beek made 34 appearances in the league, scoring nine times and chipping in with ten assists.
He also scored four goals in 18 Champions League matches, plus four goals in five Dutch Cup games.
Memorably, Van de Beek scored for Ajax against Tottenham in their Champions League semi-final first-leg.

Van de Beek to Tottenham rumours aren’t new
After Spurs KO’ed Ajax in the Champions League semi-final, those ‘Van de Beek to Spurs’ stories started to spread.
The Daily Mail previously suggested that Spurs could sign the Dutch international for 45 million pounds.
The Times have also linked Spurs with the midfielder, telling readers that “Donny van de Beek from Ajax (is) among the targets that (Mauricio) Pochettino believes can take Spurs to the next level, even challenging for the Premier League title.”
Yet, to the best of our knowledge, Tottenham are yet to make an official move for the Ajax star.
As for the Man United links, Marcel van der Kraan’s update seems to be a fresh report.
Can Marcel van der Kraan be trusted?
Aside from his work for De Telegraaf, Marcel van der Kraan is often on Dutch TV as a pundit.
But does that mean his reports are accurate?
If you put Marcel van der Kraan’s name into Twitter, it’s not hard to find a list of previous attributed claims which now seem laughable.
Marcel van der Kraan (De Telegraaf) to Sky Sports:
“Frenkie De Jong had made his mind up at an early stage. He wanted to go to one club which was Manchester City because they had a manager who he always believed in and who he thinks is one of the best in the world.”
