No more AC Milan
Chelsea are facing increasing issues trying to offload striker Diego Costa this summer.
There is no way back for the player after manager Antonio Conte made it clear he wanted to get rid of the player and even text him saying as much, and now it seems that not only do Atletico Madrid have issues signing the player due to their transfer ban, but the other club in Europe who were linked with Costa, AC Milan, are now willing to pull out of the race as well.
The issue with Costa is his wage demands, which are £200,000 per week, and something the club are unwilling to pay – no mater how rich they are.
A future on the bench?
Chelsea and manager Conte are all too aware that the striker could make serious issues in the dressing room should he decide to stay at the club and run down his contract, or even wait six months until Atleti could sign him officially – and are looking at other options to get rid of him.
One of such options is obviously allowing him to leave on loan to AC Milan – and paying his wages.
