Deulofeu, Pereyra & Welbeck: Watford injury update ahead of Brighton

Watford boss Javi Gracia has this evening provided a fitness update on his squad, ahead of their meeting with Brighton this weekend.

The Premier League campaign is set to get underway at Anfield tomorrow evening, when last season’s runners-up, Liverpool, host top-flight newcomers Norwich City.

This will be followed by a host of fixtures on Saturday afternoon, one of which will see Watford and Brighton go head-to-head at Vicarage Road.

Both sides will of course be hoping to get their 2019/20 campaigns off to a positive start, on the back of adding reinforcements to their respective squads over the last 24 hours.

Watford, meanwhile, have added both free agent Danny Welbeck and, significantly, club-record signing and long-term target Ismaila Sarr:

As such, on the back of an exciting couple of days for all associated with the Hornets, manager Javi Gracia has this evening provided an injury update on his squad, ahead of their season opener.

In information provided by Premier League expert Ben Dinnery, Gracia first confirmed that Gerard Deulofeu has recovered from his recent fitness struggles, and is ready to face Brighton:

Roberto Pereyra, meanwhile, is also close to a return to full fitness, following his Copa America exploits with Argentina this summer:
