Remember Dele Alli: Ban incoming after Watford beat Chelsea

Watford 4 – Chelsea 1

Is Antonio Conte about to be sacked by Chelsea?

Monday night was another car-crash evening for last season’s Premier League champions.

For the third time in their last four matches Chelsea lost. Arsenal beat them in the League Cup, Bournemouth won 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, while Watford scored four at Vicarage Road.

Chelsea’s terrible evening began when Tiemoue Bakayoko was sent off in the first half for two bookable offences.

Troy Deeney fired Watford ahead from the penalty spot just before the break, however the match exploded in the final 10 minutes.

Eden Hazard drew Chelsea’s 10 men level, but Watford scored three late goals. Daryl Janmaat, Gerard Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra earned Javi Gracia his first win at the Hornets.

Remember Dele Alli: Will Troy Deeney be banned?

Many are now waiting for Watford’s Troy Deeney to be banned.

Back in September 2017, Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was slapped with a one match ban by FIFA.

The Spurs star was punished after he swore with his middle finger during an international match against Slovakia.

On Monday night against Chelsea, Deeney flashed his two middle fingers in the air after he converted his penalty against Chelsea.

So the Watford striker will also be banned, right?

Perhaps the more important question is how long Deeney could be banned for.

The Hornets star has already been banned for four games this season. So, if a ban is incoming for his bad behaviour against Chelsea, could Deeney be hit with more than a one-match ban?

We’ll have to wait and see…
