Spanish giants Barcelona have been afforded a major boost on the personnel front, on Saturday evening.
This comes on the back of confirmation that summer signing Jules Kounde has finally been registered by the La Liga authorities
The name of French international Kounde has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines at the Camp Nou for several weeks now.
This came as the talented stopper, despite being brought in as part of a big-money transfer from Sevilla, was forced to watch on from the stands for Barca’s first pair of fixtures of the campaign.
This did not come as a result of a fitness problem, or a simple selection call on the part of his new manager, though.
Instead, Xavi Hernandez was left with no choice but to leave Kounde out, owing to registration issues in the Catalan capital.
Owing to long-standing financial concerns, the Blaugrana were simply left unable to add their latest defensive star to the club’s squad list for La Liga fixtures.
As alluded to above, though, on Saturday, this situation, finally, has changed.
As showcased in the image below, taken directly from the website for Spanish football’s top-flight, Kounde is now officially registered for La Liga action in Barca colours.
The 23-year-old, as a result, could even be utilised from the off on Sunday evening, when Xavi Hernandez’s troops play host to Real Valladolid.
