Kevin De Bruyne’s return from injury ‘changes everything’ in Premier League title race

Advantage Man City

Manchester City are already most people’s favourites to win the Premier League.

Now, with the inclusion of Kevin De Bruyne after the player spent the last two months out injured, they’re only going to get better.

That’s according to Adam Bate, who wrote a lengthy piece on De Bruyne’s brilliance for Sky Sports.

He noted that having De Bruyne back is huge for Man City.

Bate made the point that Man City are already the best in the league – and De Bruyne makes them even better.

Guardiola echoed those thoughts: “I would have preferred to have had Kevin this two months.

“The important thing is that the team was quite stable. It was solid.

“Now he has come back he has to fight and play as good as possible.”

Chelsea and Liverpool

Given City have been without their star man, the fact they’re level at the top of the table speaks volumes.

Chelsea are two points behind them after the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are keeping pace, but while City are winning by huge margins, things are tougher for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

City will not only want to defend their title, but they will also want to make sure they do well in the Champions League.

Crashing out to Liverpool last season was certainly not in the script for Guardiola’s men.
