West Ham are now deep in the relegation mire without two of their best players due to injury, in Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic.

The Hammers may be in 12th but they are only three points off the relegation zone. So, David Moyes’ reaction in the post match press conference after Brighton might come as some surprise.

At the very end of the video below, Moyes is asked if the problems are coming “from all angles right now.”

Moyes replies: “Maybe that’s West Ham!”

When it is put to the West Ham boss that “it’s like Eastenders”, Moyes laughs and agrees.

Moyes adds: “I think in management no day is ever dull. And, you just never know, the job brings some strange things. There have been some difficult situations.”

West Ham’s next match is absolutely enormous, at home to Watford next Saturday.
