David Moyes coy on fitness of Declan Rice & Aaron Creswell ahead of Brighton vs West Ham

David Moyes coy on fitness of Declan Rice & Aaron Creswell ahead of Brighton vs West Ham

Brighton vs West Ham

Saturday’s Premier League action will draw to a close down south, when Brighton play host to West Ham.

Despite losing their last outing, Brighton have secured their Premier League status for another season, after Fulham were confirmed as the final side to be relegated back to the Championship.

This, of course, means that the Seagulls do not have much left to play for.

West Ham, though, really need to pick up a win at the Amex.

For much of the campaign, David Moyes’ men looked as though they had an outside chance of securing Champions League football for next season.

Now, though, the Hammers are in danger of slipping out of the top-six altogether.

After Liverpool’s win over Manchester United on Thursday, West Ham dropped to 6th in the Premier League, with three games to play.

In addition, both Tottenham and Everton only trail the Irons by two points, with three games to play.

David Moyes provides West Ham team news update

Ahead of what is a must-win outing for his side, in turn, David Moyes held his latest pre-match press conference on Friday.

When doing so, the Scotsman provided a team news update on his side.

Moyes, though, opted to remain coy when discussing potential returns.

The West Ham boss revealed that Declan Rice and Aaron Cresswell’s chances of returning on Saturday are ‘the same’, but did not actually provide an insight into how well either are doing:

“Some of them are doing well, some of them aren’t doing so well, but I’m hoping to get some of them back for the game.

“I’d rate Dec’s chances the same as Cresswell, Ogbonna and the rest of them. I wouldn’t want to give anything away.”
