David Luiz on Arsenal: ‘We have the possibility to fight for the title’

Luiz’s title hopes

David Luiz made the switch to Arsenal over the summer, moving from Chelsea.

The Brazilian would win the Premier League title with Chelsea during the 2016/17 season.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have not earned a league title since 2004.

The Gunners would also fail to qualify for the Champions League last season, and, much like the rest of the Premier League, just do not look to be on the same level as Liverpool and Manchester City.

Unai Emery’s side are also currently nine points off table-topping Liverpool.

Despite this, though, David Luiz believes that Arsenal ‘have the possibility to fight for the title’:

“I want to win titles with Arsenal. I want to improve and adapt myself for the style of Arsenal, as a club and how the manager wants us to play. I think we can do that together.

“My vision, my ambition and my will is always to fight for the title and between the club, the players and the coach, we have the possibility to fight for the title. I think this club deserves to shine again.” As quoted by Sky Sports News.

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Arsenal’s next outing does not take place until Monday evening.

The north London outfit will take on Premier League new boys Sheffield United.

Arsenal are currently 3rd in the PL, but with every other side around them playing either on Saturday or Sunday, they will likely have dropped down the table by the time they kick-off at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United, on the other hand, started Saturday 13th in the English top-flight.
