Danny Murphy makes his Premier League top four prediction

Liverpool vs Man City

The 2018/19 Premier League title race was one of the most exciting in recent memory.

Liverpool and Manchester City pushed each other to their limits, and gave fans some great entertainment along the way.

Ultimately, it would be Man City who came away with the title, pipping Liverpool to the trophy by a single point.

The way the 2019/20 season has begun, we could well be set for something similar this campaign, with Liverpool and Man City currently occupying 1st and 2nd spot respectively.

Danny Murphy appears to share a similar view, as he has predicted that Liverpool will win the PL this season, with Man City in second spot.

Murphy also believes that Tottenham will take 3rd:

“I think Liverpool will win the league this year.

“Only one club had done it three times on the trot and I think Man City will be so Champions League focused.

“So I’m going Liverpool, City and then Tottenham, I think they’ll take third.” As quoted by the Mirror.

 The race for 4th spot

Danny Murphy has also revealed who he thinks will clinch the final Champions League spot in the PL.

Despite Arsenal bringing in a fair few players this summer, including big-money signing Nicolas Pepe, Murphy doesn’t think that the Gunners will finish 4th.

Instead, Murphy has picked Manchester United to earn that final CL place:

“I actually think fourth will go to Man United. I think Chelsea will do all right and Frank Lampard is a great appointment.

“But United have gone big in the market and the quality they have in the final third – I mean there is doom and gloom around them, but I think they’ll surprise a few.” As quoted by the Mirror.
