Alves rubbishes reports
Dani Alves has refuted claims by Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte that he convinced Neymar to come to Paris Saint-Germain. GE wrote that Alves, and fellow Brazilians Marquinhos and Silva, talked their compatriot round.
Now, with Neymar on the brink of a world record move from Barcelona to PSG, Alves has hit back.
Specifically, he’s hit back at El Transistor for saying as much. They wrote that Neymar was caught in two minds: If he spoke to Dani Alves he would think one thing. if he spoke to Lionel Messi he would think another.
But Alves rubbished this as fiction and insisted that the last thing he talks to Neymar about is football.
Mentira, no tengo que convencer a nadie de nada… cuando hablo con el, hablo de todo menos de fútbol. “Soy feliz si el lo es” https://t.co/jdSdz6bxXg

Whether that’s true or not, the fact that his close friend is at the club will have played a part in Neymar’s decision. The fact that the French club have offered to double his salary is another huge factor.
