Crystal Palace vs Wolves betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Crystal Palace vs Wolves 101 Great Goals prediction: Crystal Palace 3-2 Wolves

Defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday halted Crystal Palace’s positive start to the new campaign.

The Eagles had enjoyed two wins in their last two outings before Spurs and showed many promising signs.

However, for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they have endured very much the opposite fortunes.

Despite seriously impressing last season, after five games, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are 19th with just three points.

Defeat to Braga during midweek in the Europa League will have further knocked Wolves’ confidence before Sunday’s clash.

Premier League preview: Crystal Palace vs Wolves

Wins over Manchester United and Aston Villa had the Eagles soaring up into the top four prior to their trip to north London.

But following an abject performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Roy Hodgson’s side were brought crashing back down to earth.

Nothing went Palace’s way last Saturday as they looked toothless in attack and were run ragged in defence.

The south London club will now be looking to move swiftly on.

They will also be hopeful Jordan Ayew can rediscover the form which has quickly made him a fans’ favourite this term.

The Ghanaian netted in both of Palace’s wins, including one at Old Trafford.

Wolves struggling to juggle Europa League and Premier League football

Wolves have made a surprisingly poor start to the new season, picking up just three points from a possible 15.

Despite reaching the group stages of the Europa League, very little has gone their way this season.

Like with many English clubs previously, Nuno’s side have struggled with the demands of playing in Europe on a Thursday.

Wolves did not have a midweek game in Europe in the week leading up to their 5-2 defeat to Chelsea on the weekend.

But before each of their previous four league games, they featured in the qualifying rounds for the Europa League.

On Thursday they were involved in European action and will need to juggle their squad more effectively at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
