Crystal Palace vs Fulham betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Crystal Palace vs Fulham prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Fulham

Relegation strugglers Fulham picked up their first win in five matches and will be desperate to earn their first away win of the season.

Crystal Palace will be without influential forward Wilfried Zaha and have a terrible recent record without their talisman.

Only Huddersfield have fewer points at home than Crystal Palace this season. The Eagles have scored just six goals in 11 matches at Selhurst Park. They did, however, win their last home match 2-0 against Spurs.

Crystal Palace vs Fulham: Who will win?

As the home side, Crystal Palace are 19/20 favourites. Fulham can be backed at 14/5 while the draw is priced at 12/5.

No side has conceded more goals on the road than Fulham (30) this season. Both teams to score is 4/5.

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s brace on Tuesday night took his Premier League tally for the season up to 10. Back Mitrovic to open the scoring at 6/1 or to score anytime in the match at 2/1.

Crystal Palace host Premier League strugglers Fulham at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Palace dropped down to 15th in the table following their 1-1 draw at Southampton on Wednesday evening.

Wilfried Zaha opened the scoring for the visitors before James Ward-Prowse equalised for the Saints. Both goalscorers were involved in a skirmish in the second half which lead to the sending off of Zaha, meaning the winger will be suspended on Saturday.

Prior to Crystal Palace’s 1-0 win over Leicester in December, the Eagles had lost all 13 previous matches that Wilfried Zaha was absent for – a losing streak stretching back more than two years.

Palace midfielder Chris McArthur believes Palace will not be hindered by Zaha’s suspension.

Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri echoed McArthur’s thoughts in his pre-match press conference, saying: “Zaha is a very good player, but they [Crystal Palace] have so many good players. Every match is crucial and every match is a battle.”

Fulham remain in 19th position despite their 4-2 home win over Brighton on Tuesday. The Whites were 2-0 down at halftime before second half goals from Calum Chambers, Aleksandar Mitrovic (2) and Luciano Vietto.

Fulham will be hoping that their inspired comeback could be the start of their survival battle. Claudio Ranieri’s side begin the weekend six points from safety. A win on Saturday would move them to within three points of Palace.

Crystal Palace and Fulham have met five times in the Premier League, with each side winning on two occasions.

Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilfried Zaha were the goalscorers in Palace’s 2-0 win over Fulham in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage on the opening weekend of the season.

Crystal Palace team news vs Fulham

Wilfried Zaha is suspended following his sending off on Wednesday night. Jeff Schlupp is the most likely candidate to replace Zaha out wide.

James Tomkins has a hamstring problem and will be assessed. Scott Dann could slot in alongside Mamadou Sakho if Tomkins is unavailable.

Cheikhou Kouyate will also have his ankle injury assessed. Max Meyer provides Roy Hodgson’s with an alternative option in midfield.

Vicente Guaita returned to goal on Wednesday and is set to keep his place in the starting lineup, ahead of Wayne Hennessey.

Pape Souare is sidelined with a long-term shoulder injury.

Tim Ream’s withdrawal after 27 minutes in midweek is believed to have been a tactical change from Ranieri. The American is set to return to the starting lineup.

Andre Schurrle picked up a slight knock which forced him off at half-time against Brighton but the German should be available to start on Saturday. Luciano Vietto is an ideal alternative should Schurrle not recover in time.

Joe Bryan is another doubt after picking up an injury to his right leg. The midfielder will be assessed ahead of kick-off and could make way for Tom Cairney if necessary.

Forward Aboubakar Kamara has joined Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor. Kamara was recently arrested at the club’s training ground on suspicion of actual bodily harm and criminal damage.

Saturday is set to come too soon for Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa who is still making his way back to full fitness following an ankle injury.

Alfie Mawson remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah made 21 Premier League appearances for Palace last term but has struggled to nail down a starting role on loan at Fulham.
