Crystal Palace vs Everton betting tips: Premier League preview & prediction

Crystal Palace vs Everton 101 Great Goals prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton

Both Crystal Palace and Everton enjoyed very impressive results last weekend but will now go up against each other on Saturday.

The home side surprisingly beat Arsenal at the Emirates in their last outing, winning the game 3-2 after goals from Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha and James McArthur.

That officially meant that Palace would be safe from relegation for another season and they could still climb as far as 8th, though 11th is more likely.

Meanwhile their opponents Everton destroyed Manchester United at Goodison the same day.

Goals from Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott scored the goals in a 4-0 rout.

Now, both sides will be hoping to build on their impressive results.

Crystal Palace vs Everton: Who will win?

Due to both sides impressing last weekend, the odds are actually pretty tight for this clash.

Everton go into the game as ever so slight favourites, priced at 17/10 to win the game outright.

That leaves Crystal Palace as outsiders, priced at 8/5.

A draw, which could be a very solid choice this weekend, is priced at 11/5.

Despite Everton’s impressive performances at home, the 2-0 loss to Fulham showed that they are still vulnerable at the back away from Goodison.

As a result, the both teams to score market could be attractive.

An Everton win and both teams to score is priced at 9/2, with a Palace win and both teams to score priced at the same odds.

A 2-1 Everton win, as we predict, is priced at 10/1.

With so many good forwards, the first goalscorer market could also bring you some luck.

Richarlison is the favourite to score first, priced at 11/2.

Christian Benteke, who scored against Arsenal at the weekend, is priced at 13/2.

Possibly the most attractive option, though, is Wilfried Zaha who is priced at 15/2 to score first.

Crystal Palace vs Everton match preview

What a performance it was from Palace at the Emirates on Sunday!

The Eagles have been in decent form recently following their early relegation scare.

In recent months they have won games against Arsenal, Newcastle, Huddersfield Burnley and Leicester.

Their losses have come against the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham, though they have lost to Brighton recently.

As a result, Roy Hodgson’s side have shot up the table and away from the relegation battle.

Instead, Palace are now in the battle for a mid-table finish.

With West Ham struggling at the moment, it is a real possibility that Palace could finish as high as 11th or even up to 8th if the clubs above them lost all their remaining games.

With that unlikely, Roy Hodgson won’t be too displeased with an 11th place finish and a win against Everton this weekend would go a long way to securing that.

Can the Toffees build on their Man United result?

Just as Palace were impressive, Everton went one step further in their game against Manchester United to continue their fine form of late.

While Palace conceded two, Everton kept a clean sheet and even limited Manchester United to one shot on target, which came in the 88th minute.

Goals from Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott secured an important win in the race for 7th.

That wasn’t their only impressive result of late either.

Despite a huge dip in performances around Christmas time, Everton are now performing at a very impressive level.

In their last four games at Goodison, Everton have faced off against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Marco Silva’s side have won three of those games, drawing the other and have conceded not a single goal in any of their fixtures.

That’s some pretty good going for a side who couldn’t buy a win over the Christmas period!

Though, their away performances are still a slight worry.

Despite the demolition job against West Ham, Everton lost their last away outing 2-0 against relegated Fulham.

If they can replicate their performance against Man United, Palace will certainly have to bring something special to match them.

Crystal Palace team news vs Everton

There is a trio of injury problems for Palace this weekend but they come as no surprise.

All of Mamadou Sakho, Jeffrey Schlupp and James Tomkins have been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

As a result, they will miss the clash with Everton.

There are also a couple of injury concerns for Everton ahead of this game.

Key players Richarlison and Lucas Digne both had to be substituted due to injury against Man United.

Starting with Richarlison, Silva has not put a timeframe on his return, claiming that they will know closer to the weekend whether he will be available.

“In two days we will know more about the situation but we hope it is nothing special but when Richarlison has to be out of a match that means he is in a really difficult position,” he explained, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

Silva also provided an update on Digne’s injury, claiming that his problem was nothing special and he will be available to face Palace.

Meanwhile, Yerry Mina could return to the bench after injury while Andre Gomes remains suspended.
