Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth betting tips: Premier League match preview and predictions

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Bournemouth

There may be very little to play for at Selhurst Park but both of these sides will be looking to finish the season with a win.

Crystal Palace have been poor at home whereas Bournemouth have struggled on their travels.

Something has got to give in South London.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth: Who will win?

Crystal Palace are odds on at 17/20 to win at home for just the fifth time this season.

Bournemouth have only managed five away wins so far but are 14/5 to add to that.

A draw is 29/10.

Bournemouth games have witnessed 118 goals this season, the second most of any team’s matches.

Over 2.5 goals is 8/15.

Both teams to score is 4/9.

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score is 5/6.

Wilfried Zaha netted his 10th goal of the season last weekend. He is 9/2 to score first and 13/8 to score anytime.

This could be Michy Batshuayi’s last game for Palace. He’s also 9/2 to score first and 6/4 to sign off with a goal.

Callum Wilson has scored 15 goals this season. He is 4/1 to score first and 7/5 to add to his tally.

Josh King has 11 goals. The Norwegian is 13/2 to score first and 11/5 to score anytime.

Both Luka Milivojević and Michy Batshuayi to score is 15/2.

Both Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend to score is 12/1.

Both Josh King and Callum Wilson to score is  17/2.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth: Match preview

Can Crystal Palace sign off with a home win?

Last weekend, goals from Wilfried Zaha, Michy Batshuayi and Andros Townsend helped them to a 3-2 win in Cardiff.

That was their second 3-2 away win in a row following their victory at Arsenal.

That was their ninth away league win of the season.

Impressive.

However, they haven’t had as much joy at home.

The only teams to leave Selhurst Park defeated this season are Burnley, Leicester and the bottom two, Fulham and Huddersfield.

Simply not good enough for a side that have such fantastic support at home.

Can they win their final home game and make it 4 unbeaten going into next season?

As for Bournemouth, they have the opposite problem to Palace.

Eddie Howe’s side have won just 5 times on the road at West Ham, Watford, Fulham, Huddersfield and Brighton.

In fact, they’ve lost 10 of their last 13 away matches.

Although, from their last 4 away games, they’ve won 2 and drawn 1.

Signs of improvement for the Cherries.

Last weekend, they signed off at home in style.

Nathan Aké’s stoppage time winner saw them beat Tottenham for the first time in their history.

In the table, they are 13th, just 1 point behind Crystal Palace.

When these two met in October, Bournemouth won 2-1 thanks to a controversial late penalty.

Will there be more drama this time?

After a solid victory and performance last weekend, Roy Hodgon is not expected to make too many changes.

This’ll be the last Palace game for Julián Speroni who’s made 402 appearance for the club since joining from Dundee way back in 2004.

However, regular number 1 Vicente Guaita is likely to start the match with Speroni getting a sendoff cameo later on.

In defence they’re riddled with injuries.

Mamadou Sakho (knee), Pape Souaré (hamstring), Jeffrey Schlupp (ankle) and James Tomkins (groin) are all out.

Patrick van Aanholt is expected to be recalled to the XI from last weekend.

At right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has made the third most tackles in the league this season, could this be his final appearance for the club?

Hodgson is expected to stick with the 4-4-2 formation which includes Luka Milivojević and James McArthur.

Of all players in Premier League history who have scored least 15 goals or more, only David Ginola (67%) and Laurent Robert (65%) have scored a higher percentage of their goals from outside the box than Andros Townsend (11/19 – 58%).

On the other side will be Palace’s main man.

However, 9 of Wilfried Zaha’s 10 Premier League goals this season have been scored away from Selhurst Park; only Harry Kane (11) and Jamie Vardy (10) have scored more in away matches.

He’d love to score on what could be his final appearance for the club.

Michy Batshuayi will lead the line, where will he be playing his football next season?

Does this side have enough to defeat Bournemouth?

As for the Cherries, they are down to the bare bones and the end of the season can’t come soon enough.

Last weekend though, they may have unearthed a goalkeeping superstar.

Aged 19 years and 351 days, Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers is the first teenage goalkeeper to start a Premier League game since Joe Hart in October 2006.

He was man of the match against Tottenham and, with both Artur Boruc and Asmir Begović underperforming, Travers has a real chance of being the number 1 next season.

In defence, Chris Mepham is likely to come back in for Jack Simpson.

Charlie Daniels (knee) Simon Francis (knee) and Diego Rico (ankle) are all out.

In midfield they also have limited options.

There’s no Lewis Cook (knee), or Andrew Surman (calf) so Nathan Aké will continue alongside Jefferson Lerma.

David Brooks should be back from a slight ankle issue.

On the other side, no player in Europe’s top 5 leagues has provided more assists than Ryan Fraser this season, his tally of 14 has him level with Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund.

Callum Wilson also has impressive numbers.

The only English player to both score and assist in more Premier League games in a single season than Wilson (6) was Alan Shearer for Blackburn Rovers in 1994-95 (7).

He’s also scored and assisted in six different Premier League games this season, more than any other player (6).

Will he sign off with another goal or two?
