Crystal Palace are considering a £10 million move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck in January, according to the Sun.
The 27-year-old is out of contract next summer and the Gunners are yet to offer him a new deal.
Roy Hodgson is very keen to sign Welbeck with his Palace side netting just eight Premier League goals this season.
Crystal Palace line up move for Welbeck
Unai Emery is happy for Welbeck to remain and provide back up to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
However, the Gunners are hoping to listen to offers for the England international in January.
Arsenal are unwilling to allow him to leave over the summer for nothing.
The report claims the player would be happy to make the move with the chance of gaining regular first-team football.
Welbeck still worth his place at Arsenal?
Having netted a crucial goal in Lisbon in Arsenal previous European outing, Welbeck showed he still has a worth to the Gunners’ squad.
Losing the former Manchester United forward would leave Emery short in attacking options for the remainder of the season.
However, his sale could generate funds to sign an upgraded player.
Just give him a contract, no third choice striker would deliver as welbeck does, always happy despite knowing that he is third choice, and also bails us out everytime he is called upon to do it, it would be a waste of a STRIKER we wont get in the market

Deserves a contract extension. He’s a great player to have on the bench bringing pace, power. Not a great finisher but gets himself in good positions

I think with Welbeck’s performances this week, we have to give him a new contract. He is okay with being 3rd choice and performs well when selected.

I think Danny Welbeck to Crystal Palace is a move that would be beneficial for everyone. Arsenal get money for a player who is easily replaceable, Palace get a striker who isn’t called Christian Benteke, and Welbeck gets first team football.

Apparently Welbeck’s contract expires at the end of the season. This makes the quoted £10m fee far more feasible imo. I think this could happen. Would be great if it did.
