As per a number of reports in the English media this afternoon, Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are preparing an offer for Barcelona starlet Munir El Haddadi.
21-year-old Munir came up through La Masia’s youth ranks at Barcelona, but has so far understandably failed to carve out a regular starting spot for himself in the club’s first-team, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and (previously) Neymar to compete with.
Nevertheless, the talent possessed by the versatile attacker has always been evident, with Munir having appeared in 34 games across all competitions during a loan spell with Valencia last season, during which he racked up 8 goals and 3 assists.
A number of European clubs have already expressed an interest in the once-capped Spanish international this summer, with three of the rumoured front-runners coming in the form of Premier League sides Southampton, West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
And it is the latter of these sides who have reportedly stepped up their pursuit this afternoon, with a bid in the offing on the part of the Eagles.
The value of the imminent offer has not yet been revealed, though Munir is said to hold a price-tag of 14 million Euro.
