Roy Hodgson’s Palace face another huge match this weekend as Tottenham travel from north to south London.

Having managed to claw themselves away from the drop zone, the Eagles remain in deep relegation bother.

They only have 27 points on the board after 27 games. Southampton, third from bottom, have 26 points.

If Crystal Palace lose to Spurs on Sunday, will the Eagles be back in the drop zone at the end of gameweek 28?

    Wayne Hennessey vs Tottenham

Crystal Palace will no doubt have been alerted to claims this week that the have a goalie crisis.

According to reports heard on TalkSport, it was announced that Welsh international Wayne Hennessey had suffered a bad injury before Tottenham.

It was said that Hennessey suffered a freak accident in wet weather conditions on Tuesday morning.

Hennessey was supposedly left holding his left leg, and he’d possible ruptured his Achilles tendon.

But those reports seem to have been wide of the mark. By a lot.

Pictures from Crystal Palace’s training on Wednesday have revealed that Hennessey was in action.

It also didn’t look like the keeper was suffering from any ailment.

That’s a major relief for Palace fans, as had Hennessey been hurt, they’d be in a very tough spot.

Club veteran Julian Speroni is also currently a long term injury absentee with knee ligament damage.

20-year-old Dion Henry was on the subs bench for Palace when they lost 3-1 at Everton last time out.

    Other Palace injures vs Tottenham

Palace have a long list of long term absentees which could derail their Premier League survival.

Bakary Sako, Jeffrey Schlupp, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon and Connor Wickham are all likely to miss the rest of the season.

Wilfried Zaha is also on the sidelines for the Eagles with a knee issue will means he misses the Spurs game.

Mamadou Sakho could return this weekend, but Martin Kelly is still a few weeks away from returning to action.
