Crystal Palace handed Wilfried Zaha injury blow ahead of Everton

The current international break has not been great for many Premier League players.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane have already suffered injuries while representing their clubs.

Wilfried Zaha’s injury

Now, Crystal Palace are the latest club to be hit with an injury this week.

The player in question is star forward Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha was on international duty with the Ivory Coast and started their game on Friday evening vs the Central African Republic.

Ivory Coast would come away 4-0 victors and Zaha would earn himself an assist.

However, after the game, Wilfried Zaha appears to have suffered an injury and the forward has since flown back to London and will miss Ivory Coast’s game on Tuesday.

The extent of Zaha’s injury is unknown; however, he is now a doubt for Crystal Palace’s game vs Everton on Saturday.

Crystal Palace vs Everton

Crystal Palace head into the weekends game vs Everton without a win in two games.

The Eagles lost their last league game 1-0 at home to newly-promoted Wolves.

The game before Palace would travel to Bournemouth and lose 2-1.

In fact, Palace’s last Premier League win came just over a month ago against Huddersfield.

As a result, Palace could really do with a win this weekend vs the Toffees.

However, they will likely have to try and do it without Wilfried Zaha who has been one of their key men this season, scoring three and assisting one in seven league games this season.

As for Everton, they come into this game 11th in the Premier League.

Marco Silva’s side have won three, drawn three and lost two in the league so far.
