Crystal Palace have this afternoon been dealt a blow on the injury-front, during the club’s meeting with Chelsea.
Chelsea secure latest 3 point-haul
London rivals Chelsea and Palace went head to head at Stamford Bridge a short time ago, in a Premier League clash.
Frank Lampard’s hosts headed into proceedings in the midst of a superb run of league form.
Since falling to defeat at home to Liverpool late in September, the Blues had racked up 5 straight top-flight victories.
This saw them sitting in joint-3rd place ahead of kick-off, in the knowledge that another win would see the club, at least temporarily, leapfrog both Leicester City and Manchester City.
And, when all was said and done in the English capital this afternoon, this was precisely what Chelsea managed.
Tammy Abraham set the Pensioners on their way early in the second-half, breaking the deadlock with his 10th Premier League goal of the campaign.

And the in-form Christian Pulisic made sure of all 3 points for the home side 10 minutes from time, nodding home beyond Vicente Guaita at the far post.
As such, Crystal Palace’s winless streak in the English top-flight has now stretched to 4 games.
The Eagles’ result at Stamford Bridge, though, was not their only concern stemming from proceedings this afternoon.
Late in the first-half, Joel Ward pulled up with what appeared to be a groin problem, before being forced to limp off.
This saw Roy Hodgson introduce Martin Kelly, not a natural full-back, as Ward’s replacement, due to Palace’s lack of depth at right-back.
As such, any form of lengthy spell out of action for Ward would no doubt prove a major source of concern for the Eagles.
