Cristiano Ronaldo: Man United didn’t deserve to win
In a post match interview with Viasport, Cristiano Ronaldo explained why he believed Man United didn’t deserve to win the match:
(Juventus) should’ve won the game easily. Three-four goals.
Manchester (United) didn’t do much, in my opinion.
Two chances, set pieces. I know the English teams are always looking for the set pieces.

In some respects the stats backed up Ronaldo’s assertions.
While Juventus had 23 shots in the match, Man United only had nine. Yet, when it came to shots on target, both sides only had three efforts apiece.

Juve’s missed chances vs Man United
Juventus hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions against Man United.
In the 34th minute, German midfielder Sami Khedira hit the post.
Ronaldo picked out Khedira in the box, however Khedira lacked a bit of composure as he could only direct his effort onto the outside of the upright.
At the start of the second half it was the turn of Paulo Dybala to hit the Man United woodwork.
Dybala curled a superb shot at goal from just inside the United box.
With David De Gea beaten all-ends-up, the ball cannoned off the top of the bar.
