Former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo has today suggested that Inter Milan winger and Manchester United target Ivan Perisic could make a move to Stamford Bridge to join up with his former side.
Manchester United’s public chase of Perisic has been one of the talking points of the summer so far, with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho desperate to add a proven wide-man to his squad ahead of the new season.
However, the Old Trafford outfit have so far been met with stubborn resistance from Serie A giants Inter, with the Croatian even rumoured to be close to signing a new deal at the San Siro.
However, one former Premier League star has this afternoon suggested that Perisic could surprise the masses and make a move to another of the English top-flight’s biggest sides.
Speaking to the Express, former Blues striker Hernan Crespo explained:
‘It’s possible he joins Chelsea – but he plays on the left and on the left you have Eden Hazard, Perisic and Marcos Alonso.’
‘Maybe he could come in through the middle or to the right.’
‘Perisic is a good player but I don’t know if Inter wants to sell. I think ‘no’ but it depends on money. It’s always the same. It depends on money.’
‘If you put a lot of money down, even Inter will sell him, but they don’t want to sell him.’
