Thibaut Courtois offers feelings on Real Madrid links to Conte and Mourinho

Courtois isn’t happy

Thibaut Courtois left Chelsea for Real Madrid in the summer.

The player managed to anger a fair few Chelsea fans when he left, and now they’re thrilled to see him struggling.

He’s finding it hard to hold down a place in the starting line-up. Real Madrid are floundering, and things are now much worse.

That’s because it seems the La Liga side could opt to replace their current manager, Julen Lopetegui.

Courtois isn’t particularly fond of his current manager, but the names linked to the job have worried him.

That’s because Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte are the front runners.

They both clashed with Courtois during his time at Chelsea.

Now, Courtois has come out and been as outspoken as ever.

Chelsea fans seem to find it understandably hilarious.

Given he made no secret of the fact he wanted to leave, and courted Real Madrid for so long, the relationship between Courtois and the Chelsea fans is poor.

This is of course also a change in narrative from Courtois, who initially claimed he left Chelsea to be closer to his kids.

Real Madrid issues

Real Madrid are in crisis.

Should the lose to Barcelona, and therefore lose the Clasico, it could well be the case Conte does come in sooner rather than later.

That would present a rather difficult situation for Courtois.

Given Keylor Navas is a fan favourite, and a great keeper, dropping Courtois to the bench is very feasible for any new manager.
