Francis Coquelin joins Valencia
Last week Arsenal sold midfielder Francis Coquelin to Valencia.
Valencia paid the Gunners around 10 million pounds for Coquelin, who wasn’t a regular for Asreen Wenger this season.
But will Arsenal live to regret that decision? Jack Wilshere picked up an injury in the Carabao Cup draw against Chelsea, whiel the club only have a few more options in a defensive midfield role.
There’s Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny. But then what?
Coquelin’s Arsenal career
Coquelin made 160 appearances for Arsenal during his time in north London.
Moreover, he lifted two FA Cup trophies during his Gunners career.
Coquelin reacts badly
A video is going viral on social media on Saturday as Coquelin has arrived in Valencia.
When the midfielder emerged in Spain, he was greeted by one Arsenal fan.
The Gunners supporter tried to have a picture with Coquelin as he draped an Arsenal scarf on the Frenchman.
But Coquelin didn’t appreciate the red and white scarf being in the picture.

Deportivo La Coruna vs Valencia match preview
The late match in Spain on Saturday night sees relegation threatened Deportivo host top four hopefuls Valencia at the Riazor.
After failing to win in three games to close out 2017, Valencia have returned to winnings ways in 2018.
Valencia beat Girona 2-1 at the Mestalla last weekend thanks to goals from Ramalho (own goal) and Dani Parejo. Girona had taken a shock lead early on via Portu.
Last week in the cup, Valencia beat Las Palmas 4-0.
Los Che are now third in La Liga and have a significant lead over the sides chasing them (Real Madrid and Sevilla).
As for Deportivo La Coruna they come into the game one point and one spot above the bottom three.
However Depor will be looking to build on last weekend’s 1-1 draw away at Villarreal.
It’s worth noting that after the Valencia game, Depor head to Real Madrid in La Liga.
