Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that defender Gary Cahill was released from the hospital on Thursday following an illness.
The England international spent Tuesday and Wednesday in hospital from what was thought to be gastroenteritis.
It was unsure whether the illness would affect Cahill and both his and Chelsea’s run-in to the end of the season.
Now, manager Conte has confirmed that Gary is feeling better after a few days of being ill.
Though, the Italian did explain that he thought it would be unlikely that Cahill will feature against Tottenham tomorrow.
The Stamford Bridge side face Spurs in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
“If you ask me for tomorrow, my answer is it is very difficult,” Conte explained.
Conte calls Tottenham a great power in English football. He says it is the right moment for them to stop feeling the underdog. #CFC
