Conspiracy theory links Man United’s Victor Lindelof to Emil Forsberg’s Swedish exit

Emil Forsberg leaves Sweden camp

Sweden kicked of their Euro 2020 qualifiers with a 2-1 home win over Romania.

However the win has been overshadowed by the news that RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg has left the Swedish camp.

Aftonbladet broke the news on Saturday night that Forsberg had walked out of the team’s hotel in protest to being subbed in the Romania game.

Forsberg was replaced midway through the second half for Gustav Svensson.

The Swedish national team originally denied Aftonbladet’s claim of Forsberg’s exit.

However on Sunday morning it was confirmed that Forsberg has left the squad for injury reasons.

Conspiracy theory ropes in Man United’s Victor Lindelof

Man United’s Victor Lindelof didn’t join up with his international team mates during the break.

Lindelof isn’t injured, which has left some to question why the Man United defender isn’t available for the Swedes.

For the record, Lindelof and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child imminently.

Nevertheless, a conspiracy theory is spreading online suggesting Lindelof hasn’t played for Sweden for more nefarious reasons.

John Guidetti and Robin Olsen have also been roped into the rumour which centres on football agent Hasan Cetinkaya.
