The ‘Drake curse’
Drake, the Canadian rapper, is a global superstar.
He’s also a major sports fan, who often appears on social media with athletes.
For years conspiracy theorists have touted the claim that there’s a ‘Drake curse’.
Put simply, if you’re a sportsman and you appear in a picture with Drake, bad things (i.e. defeats) will happen.
Even Drake knows about the ‘Drake curse’ – he’s previously made fun of it on his Instagram account.
Arsenal & Borussia Dortmund
It was a crappy weekend for Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
Starting with the Gunners, they lost 1-0 at Everton on Sunday in the Premier League.
That defeat could prove critical for Arsenal’s top four hopes this season.
A win at Goodison Park would have significantly boosted Arsenal’s top four hopes as they’d have moved above Tottenham into third.
Instead, the loss means Arsenal are only above Chelsea on goal difference, while Man United are just two points behind them.
Over in Germany, have Borussia Dortmund blown their chance of winning the Bundesliga?
A few months ago BVB had a seven point lead over Bayern Munich.
However Bayern smashed Dortmund 5-0 on Saturday as the Bavarians moved a point clear of BVB in first place.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Jadon Sancho
Did Arsenal and BVB both lose because of the ‘Drake curse’?
That theory is being pushed around social media sites in the wake of a a couple of recent pictures.
Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho have both uploaded photos alongside Drake in the last few days.
