Will Liverpool now sign a new goalkeeper?

The Premier League transfer window closes on Thursday.

According to the Guardian, Mignolet’s exit from Anfield means that Jurgen Klopp may try to sign a new shot-stopper:

Liverpool will look to sign an experienced replacement as cover for Alisson before the close of the transfer window on Thursday.

For the record, the Guardian failed to mention any names of possible Liverpool targets.

Man City beat Liverpool on penalties

On Sunday, the Reds lost on penalties in the Community Shield against Man City.

The Sky Blues took the lead in the first-half, through Raheem Sterling.

A Joel Matip header leveled the match for Liverpool in the second period.

In the shootout, Gabriel Jesus scored the decisive spot-kick after Gini Wijnaldum missed for Liverpool.
