Confirmed: Everton sell Idrissa Gueye to PSG

Idrissa Gueye has finally completed his long-awaited move from Everton to PSG.

The clubs failed to disclose the transfer fee.

However, according to widespread reports, PSG paid Everton 32 million euros for the midfielder.

PSG have confirmed that Idrissa Gueye will wear the number 27 shirt in Paris.

Moreover, the midfielder is under contract at PSG for the next four years, until 2023.

Now 29, Idrissa Gueye joined Everton from Aston Villa in 2016.

All told, Gueye racked up 96 Premier League starts across his 3 seasons on Merseyside.

Gueye was superb last season at Goodison Park. He shared the player of the year award with Lucas Digne.

Neymar’s rape case dropped

In other PSG related news, it’s been confirmed on Tuesday that the rape allegations made against Neymar have been dropped.

To be clear, Neymar will not be indicted for any crime.

So is the episode now closed? Almost, as Globo report that there’s only one avenue left open:

Prosecutors of the Special Action Group to Combat Domestic Violence (Gevid) may file a complaint (formal prosecution), request the filing of the inquiry or further action. The prosecutor has 15 days to speak.

Neymar back training with PSG

Following his injury just before the Copa America, and all the talk of a possible PSG exit this summer, Neymar is back training with his teammates in pre-season.

PSG are currently in China.
