Stan Collymore: ‘Ill-disciplined’ Paul Pogba doesn’t do it vs Cardiff or Bournemouth

Man United & Paul Pogba

It’s been an incredible summer for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba is now a world champion after France won the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Man United star capped an unforgettable tournament with a goal in the final against Croatia.

But can Pogba replicate his French form at Man United next season?

Of course, the midfielder was dropped by Jose Mourinho last season as he struggled to impress.

Stan Collymore: Pogba lacks ‘discipline’ against Cardiff or Bournemouth

On Monday in the Mirror, Stan Collymore has questioned whether Paul Pogba will ever succeed at Man United.

Collymore has charged Pogba with a lack of discipline at the Theatre of Dreams:

Here’s the thing: I’m not convinced he CAN do it on a regular basis – because he just doesn’t have the discipline for that.

Yes, he has the discipline when he’s playing in two huge World Cup matches with a major prize at the end of them. But week in, week out, when all that’s on offer is three points against a Cardiff or Bournemouth, I’m not so sure.

Collymore then picked up on an old criticism of Pogba: he’s too flashy.

The Man United star has been compared to Neymar, and not in a good way:

They are treated like Under-11s and, as such, Pogba, Neymar and Co are Under-11 footballers.

They’re indulged by clubs who don’t tell them off anymore, they don’t have standards, in terms of dress, hair, earrings and bling.

And I’d love to see Pogba and Neymar getting their hair cut, saying nothing to the press, to sponsors, and then going out and winning everything they can win this season.
