Classless: Neymar pretended to be a good guy vs Rennes

Rennes 2 – PSG 3

PSG are on course to win the French domestic triple this season.

On Tuesday night PSG advanced to the League Cup final after a 3-2 away win at Rennes.

The match seemed to be over by the hour mark.

Thomas Meunier put the visitors ahead with a super volley, Marquinhos doubled the lead after the break. And Giovani Lo Celso took advantage of a poor mistake by Rennes keeper Abdoulaye Diallo to score number three.

But then the game changed at Kylian Mbappe was sent off. The striker was dismissed after the ref consulted VAR to check on a horror foul on Ismaila Sarr.

That sparked a late Rennes fightback. But goes from Diafra Sakho and Sanjin Prcic weren’t enough to peg back PSG.

Neymar pretended to be a good guy

Neymar attracted plenty of attention in the Rennes game.

In the final minutes of the match the Brazilian produced a classless gesture.

Seeing a Rennes opponent on the ground, Neymar jogged over with an outstretched hand.

But just as Neymar was getting ready to help his opponent get back on his feet, Neymar pulled his hand away in a trolling move.

After the game Neymar defended his gesture. He argued that “football is getting boring, we cannot do anything!”

Neymar also entertained in the Rennes game.

In particular, the world’s most expensive signing wowed the crowd with a brilliant piece of back control.
