Christian Eriksen provides injury update after missing Crystal Palace clash

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen claims he feels “very good” following a spell on the sidelines.

The 26-year-old suffered an abdominal injury in late-September before returning midway through last month.

Eriksen now feels he is ready to return to a regular role, having been used sparingly over recent weeks.

The Danish international admitted he needed rest having played a large number of games in such a short period of time.

Eriksen featured in a prominent role for Denmark at the World Cup before returning to Spurs.

The midfielder has since used his time out injured as a chance to recover from this busy period.

Eriksen told Sky Sports he now feels ready to return to regular action:

“I feel very good, very fresh.

“It has been a while that I have played that many games in such a short time.

“I think for my body it’s been good with a bit of a build-up going into every game.

“My body needed it. It said take a rest.

“It’s never fun to be injured, it’s always boring being on the sidelines when you want to be able to help the team.”
