Soon to be international and club teammates?
Tottenham star Christian Eriksen has admitted that he is impressed with compatriot and reported Spurs target Robert Skov.
While Eriksen has been the main Dane in the Premier League for some time, he could soon have some competition.
That is because Danish midfielder Robert Skov has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Skov has impressed immensely with FC Copenhagen during the current campaign, making a name as an expert free-kick taker.
His stats in the Danish League say it all, with Skov, who plays predominantly on the wing, having scored 23 of his 48 shots on target.
13 of his goals have also come from outside the area, with eight of those goals coming from free-kicks.
His passing stats are impressive too, completing 711 of 837 passes.
With that, even arguably Denmark’s best player is impressed with Skov’s ability.
Feeling the heat of losing free-kick duties
That is because Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen has been speaking about Skov on Wednesday.
The Spurs star admitted that he is impressed with Skov and even admitted he could be in danger of losing his responsibility as free-kick taker for Denmark!
“Great respect for Robert, who has scored so many free-kick goals in the league, it’s really nice,” he explained to Danish outlet Bold.
“I may be in danger as a free-kick shooter – if he continues, then it is in danger at least.
“Of course, it is an advantage that Robert kicks his left leg, but it depends a lot on how the free kick lies.”
Not only could he be a danger for Eriksen on the international stage, but he could also soon be a danger to his free-kick duties at club level.
