Premier League top scorers
Who will finish the season as the Premier League top scorer?
Heading into the final stretch of the season, Tottenham’s Harry Kane leads the way on 23 goals.
Second in the list is Liverpool flier Mohamed Salah, who has 22 EPL goals this season.
Man City striker Sergio Aguero is third in the running after his four goals against Leicester took him to 21 goals for the campaign.
Christian Benteke & Mohamed Salah
But when it comes to missing chances, Liverpool’s Salah is top of the pile too.
With 11 matches left in the Premier League season, Salah had missed 18 ‘big chances’ this season.
That’s the same as Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke who, of course, joined the Eagles from Liverpool.
Looking further down the list, Tottenham’s Kane is level with Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata in missing 14 big chances this season.
Of course, the data above doesn’t take into account how often these players miss in a game.
In that context, it’s worth noting that Mo Salah has played more minutes than any other Liverpool player this season.
He’s amassed 2,036 on-field minutes, which is the 68th highest overall in the Premier League, with Roberto Firmino in second on 1,954.
Salah is also the fifth-most tackled player in the league (55) and is one of only two players (Harry Kane is the other) to have had over 100 shots this season!
FC Porto vs Liverpool
Liverpool head to Portugal this week for their last-16 Champions League tie against Porto.
Many feel Liverpool dodged a bullet drawing Porto, however they’ll prove a tough side for Jurgen Klopp’s side to progress past.
Sergio Conceicao’s Porto side sit at the top of the Primeira Liga table, two points above Benfica, with a game in hand.
Porto are currently on a 15-match unbeaten run at home in all competitions.
