Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko & Southampton’s Mario Lemina may soon join Monaco

Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko set for a Monaco return

RMC Sport reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi has announced that Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko could soon be back at Monaco.

Bakayoko became a household name in an amazing Monaco side in 2016-17, which reached the Champions League semi-finals.

However, since moving to Stamford Bridge, the French midfielder has struggled to impress.

Last season, Bakayoko went out on loan to AC Milan.

Will Chelsea loan Bakayoko to Monaco?

Mohamed Bouhafsi confirmed that Bakayoko is “OK” with moving back to Monaco this summer.

However, despite the fact that Bakayoko is firmly outside Frank Lampard’s plans, Chelsea have an issue with the deal.

That’s because Chelsea are trying to avoid another loan agreement in favour of a permanent transfer.

But how easy will it be to shift Bakayoko from Chelsea’s books?

The 24-year-old is under contract at Chelsea until 2022, while one has to assume that any suitors will try to poach Bakayoko at a discount rate.

Southampton’s Mario Lemina to join Monaco

Mohamed Bouhafsi has also reported that Mario Lemina’s days at Southampton may soon be over.

Earlier in the summer, Lemina expressed his desire to leave the Saints.

Lemina has yet to feature for Southampton this season. In fact, the midfielder hasn’t even been included in the matchday squad for defeats against Burnley and Liverpool.

RMC Sport claim that Monaco and Lemina have already reached an “agreement” over a move.

Lemina seems poised to join the Ligue 1 club on loan.

When does the Ligue 1 transfer window close?

The Ligue 1 transfer window closes on Monday, September 2nd at midnight.
