Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso accuses press of making up ‘Diego Costa to China Story’

Costa Chelsea Crisis

After 13 games unbeaten, it seemed they would cruise relentlessly to the title, but following their defeat to Spurs, there are signs that the wheels could be about to come off.

Because striker Diego Costa has reportedly had a bust-up with manager Antonio Conte, and Twitter really loved it.

Despite Antonio Conte insisting a couple of weeks ago that Costa had personally told him he had no interest in leaving, it seems the Spanish international’s head has been turned by a mammoth offer from China.

It’s been reported that the striker hasn’t trained with the team since last Wednesday after a bust-up with Conte, and this seemed to be corroborated as he was left out of the squad for last night’s game against Leicester.

Alonso accuses press of lying

But manager Antonio Conte has insisted that Costa is simply injured with a bad back, and 2-goal hero Marcos Alonso has now reiterated that sentiment.

Fresh from scoring two goals in the win over Leicester, Alonson accused the press of fabricating the Costa story, and insisted his teammate is happy at Chelsea.
