Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic scored a brilliant goal for Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup

At the start of January Chelsea confirmed the signing of American international Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea have shelled out almost 60 million pounds on Pulisic.

Pulisic is now on loan at Dortmund until the end of the season, while he’ll move to Chelsea in the summer.

On Tuesday in Germany, Borussia Dortmund took on Werder Bremen in the cup.

Pulisic, who has struggled to lock down a starting spot at BVB this season, was named in the BVB XI.

The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. Milot Rashica fired Werder ahead after just five minutes, while Marco Reus levelled on the stroke of halftime.

Extra time was needed, and in the 105th minute Pulisic gave Dortmund the lead.

Pulisic got on the ball on the halfway line following a header from Axel Witsel.

With his first couple of touches of the ball, Pulisic evaded two Werder Bremen challenges in the middle of the park.

Having broken free, Pulisic advanced forward before playing a neat one-two to break into the box.

The Chelsea star finished with a clinical shot in the Werder area.

Borussia Dortmund lose to Werder Bremen

Although Pulisic gave BVB a 2-1 lead with just 15 minutes to go in extra time, Werder Bremen managed to win the cup-tie.

Claudio Pizarro levelled the match at 2-2, before Achraf Hakimi restored Dortmund’s lead in the 113th minute. But with a minute left in the game, Bremen’s Martin Harnik made it 3-3.

The match moved to penalties, and Werder won the shootout.
