Alvaro Morata doesn’t help himself sometimes.
A few weeks ago Morata was receiving shedloads of praise after Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 3-1 in the Premier League.
Morata spearheaded Chelsea’s victory that day scoring a brace.
The Spanish striker has scored five goals in the league this season, which is more than Man United’s Romelu Lukaku, and just three goals less than top-scorer Sergio Aguero.
Yet, the feeling remains that Morata continues to struggle in front of goal.
Alvaro Morata missed an open goal vs Bosnia
Spain took on Bosnia in an international friendly on Sunday night.
Morata started the match, but the Chelsea striker was given the hook after 64 minutes.
Minutes before leaving the game, Morata suffered a horror moment as he missed an open goal.
Marco Asensio broke free on the left, he took a shot on target, and the ball rebounded out to Morata.
Facing an open net, the Chelsea striker failed to direct his effort on target.

The Chelsea striker was yellow carded for a tackle from behind.
Morata upended Bosnian centre-half Ermin Bicakcic as he revealed his frustrations in the middle of the park.

Spain beat Bosnia thanks to a late goal from Brais Mendez.
Brais Mendez, the attacking midfielder from Celta Vigo, came off the bench in the 58th minute to replace Suso.
The 21-year-old was making his debut for Spain in the match.
