Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois & Real Madrid
With three days remaining in the summer transfer window, Chelsea fans may be sweating.
Several important transfer questions are yet to be answered.
Will Eden Hazard leave Chelsea to join Real Madrid? And is Thibaut Courtois also on his way to the Santiago Bernabeu before the 5pm cut-off time on Thursday?
Both Hazard and Courtois were set to report to Chelsea on Monday for the first time since the World Cup.
David Luiz on Chelsea’s Premier League ambitions
The headline story in Monday’s Evening Standard is that David Luiz believes Chelsea can win the 2018-19 Premier League.
Indeed, Luiz believes Chelsea can win the title even if Hazard and/or Courtois move to Real Madrid.
Luiz made the following statement following Sunday’s Community Shield defeat to Man City:
I want them to stay because the are top players, at the top level, with a lot of confidence. But I think Chelsea have a fantastic squad, with fantastic payers. If they decide to leave we will continue with a fantastic team and fantastic players.

The Evening Standard also carry quotes from Marcos Alonso on the two possible sales to Real Madrid:
I am sure they want to stay with us. I have been in touch with them and I think they are fully committed to Chelsea, unless the club want to sell them. But I don’t think this is the case. They will stay and will have a great season with us.
Eden Hazard is back in London and will return to training today.
