Chelsea vs Man United probable XIs: N’Golo Kante out of position, no Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea vs Man United probable XIs

On Monday morning the Times have gone about predicting the line-ups for tonight’s FA Cup tie between Chelsea and Man United.

This is the second time these sides have met this season.

Back in October, Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge against Man United.

Ross Barkley scored a 96th minute leveller that day after Anthony Martial scored a brace. Antonio Rudiger had opened the scoring.

How will Chelsea line-up?

The Blues come into the game on the back of a 6-0 hammering away at Man City.

Previously Chelsea had lost 4-0 away at Bournemouth.

Those defeats have left many wondering whether N’Golo Kane should play in the enforcer role ahead of Jorginho.

Yet the Times believe that Maurizio Sarri won’t shake up his midfield. Accordingly, Jorginho is set to play in front of the Blues back four while Kante will again operate in a more advanced role.

There are few other surprises in the predicted Chelsea XI. Gonzalo Higuain should play up-front, flanked by Eden Hazard and Willian.

No room for Romelu Lukaku

Man United are predicted to line-up without Romelu Lukaku in their attack against Chelsea.

It’s worth remembering that both Martial and Jesse Lingard are out of the Blues cup-tie through injury.

Nevertheless, Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer is expected to field a front-three of Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez.

At the back, David De Gea is set to get the night off in the FA Cup. Sergio Romero should start in goal.
