Chelsea’s striker search
Ten days into the January transfer window, noise is building that Chelsea may sign a striker.
Alvaro Morata continues to disappoint at Stamford Bridge, while Olivier Giroud, who is out of contract this summer, has been in and out of the team this season.
Maurizio Sarri has opted to play Eden Hazard as a false nine in recent months, however that’s not always been successful.
Bournemouth’s £50m Callum Wilson
One potential Chelsea target is Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
The 26-year-old has nine goals and five assists in the Premier League this season.
On BBC 5 Live radio on Wednesday, the pundits analysed whether Chelsea should pay a quote 50 million pounds to sign Wilson.
Dion Dublin made the case that Wilson’s price tag is reasonable:
Wilson has all the attributes to make (Chelsea) a better side going forward, he is a more out-and-out forward than what they have at present.

Alvaro Morata’s next move
Will Alvaro Morata still be at Chelsea on February 1st?
That issue was examined by Guillem Balague, who made it crystal clear that Morata wants to leave Chelsea to return to Spain:
Morata wants to leave Chelsea, it has not been the right club for him.
The style does not suit him and he will go back. He has said yes to Sevilla but 24 hours later Atletico Madrid said they are interested as well. Nothing has been signed.
Chelsea will let him go on loan because that is the only situation in which both Sevilla and Atletico will have him, and they will have to pay at least half of his 9m euro (£8.12m) wages until the end of the season.
