Chelsea forward Willian has given an update on his future at Stamford Bridge with Manchester United supposedly still interested in signing him.
The Brazilian looked almost set for an exit from Chelsea at the back end of 2017 as he struggled to gain any kind of form.
The player was heavily criticised by the Blues fans and he fell down the pecking order.
Though, he has since salvaged his career and has been possibly their most impressive player at times in 2018.
Now, he’s given an update on his future as former boss Jose Mourinho supposedly wants the Brazilian at Manchester United.
“I like to play for Chelsea,” he explained.
“I think we have to continue to improve for next season. To improve ourselves. To think about what we did well, what we did not so well and to try to make something different next season.”
Back again next season
Speaking about Chelsea’s poor season, Willian is adamant that the club will be back to challenge for the title next season.
“The Premier League is very difficult to say that one team is going to dominate the next few years. I don’t think so. Next season will be totally different to this season,” he explained.
“Maybe they can win again but you never know because Chelsea are going to come back stronger for sure.
“You also have Liverpool, you have Tottenham, you have Manchester United, Arsenal — a lot of teams that can win the Premier League.”
